Face painting fun this week

The children listened to stories about "Lest we Forget " and "Meet the ANZACS" we talked about the Poppy and that its a symbol of both Remembrance and hope it reminds us that near battlefields Poppy were offen seen, we then read "A Poem For Remembrance Day' and discussed the of the colour of the poppy. The children did a minute silence and we made Poppy Wreath for craft out of paper plates which the children painted green then they psinted their gands red to make Poppies, the we cut black pipe cleaners to be the black seeds the activity promoted fine motor skills, hand and eye coordination, language skills and an understanding of the past.

The children listen to stories in group time from "Meg and Mog series" "Winnie the Witch and "Room on a Broom" We discuss Halloween and if anyone was dressing up in costumes, or doing trick or treat we did activity that promoted Cognitive, Social, Emotional, language, Physical Develop.
The children made tissue paper mummies, mosaic pumpkins, galloween scene jigsaws, colour by number colouring sheets.
Play we made different colour playdough black and purple and used Halloween cutters or Halloween activity cards to work on using playdough.
