GRADUATION CEREMONIES BEGIN - Last night we commenced the start of our Wonderful Wombats Graduation ceremonies at Dee Why RSL for our Frenchs Forest Centre.

Singing at the top of their lungs, waving to family in the crowd and proudly receiving their certificates, these Wombats definitely gave their families something to be proud of!

We cannot wait for our Hills District Centres to put on a show for their family next Thursday and Friday.

A WORLD OF COLOUR – Art is a place for children to learn to trust their ideas, themselves, and to explore what is possible! If you asked any of the Koalas at Kindalin Frenchs Forest what they were creating in these photos they would of all said something different… Which is exactly why our goal is for children to push the limits of art and truly express themselves through their masterpieces!

WASH DAY – It was wash day for our Emu’s African animals and it sure was nothing short of fun! Jumping in to help give the animals a bath, the Emus used cloths to scrub them down and get them ready for another week of safari adventures that awaits. Of course, not forgetting to clean behind the ears!

This was a great sensory experience as well as an opportunity for dramatic play, where the Emus role played with the animals. And we can’t tell who got covered in the most bubbles, the Emus or the animals?!

FRIENDSHIP FEELS GOOD! - One of our focuses during Feel Good Feb has been the awesome friendships that we share at Kindalin Frenchs Forest. It is only a matter of time before our Educators witness a special moment between friends at Kindy each day and we see these friendships continue for years!

We decided to celebrate our friendships in Feel Good Feb with painting! Children popped on their smocks and buddied up with a friend to create a piece of art together. Seeing their willingness to share their blank canvas, add to each other's painting, give each other suggestions and have a laugh while they were doing it was proof in the pudding that there really are some special friendships we share at Frenchs Forest.

LUNAR NEW YEAR - How much fun did we have celebrating Lunar New Year at Frenchs Forest?! Following a week of Australia Day celebrations, it was perfect to continue the focus on celebrating cultures with Lunar New Year activities and fun.

Children not only had a ball getting into themed activities, whether it was playdough, art or learning to use chopsticks, but they had SO many questions about Chinese culture and New Year celebrations to lead to amazing group time discussions and investigations. We are so lucky to have Educators at Frenchs Forest who could share their culture with the children, answer their questions and give them awesome new experiences!

AUSSIE DAY CELEBRATIONS - Today we had a traditional sausage sizzle lunch in the lead up to tomorrow's Australia Day public holiday! Children have loved wearing their Aussie colours to kindy, painting their faces, asking all the cultural questions, investigating at group times and most of all, getting saucy smiles with their sausage sizzles before diving into their ice-cream cones.

We hope everyone has an awesome Australia Day public holiday with their families. We can't wait to hear all about it on Thursday and continue exploring into Australian culture throughout the week!

SEE YOU SOON! - As always, the Christmas break flashes before our eyes, but nevertheless, our team is SO excited and ready to welcome everyone back for our first Kindalin day of 2022 tomorrow! We can't wait to hear about all of your holiday adventures, welcome some new faces, catch up with some old friends and kick start another awesome year of growing and learning together.

THE FLOOR IS LAVA - We all know the good ol' game, but do you all know the song? Children at Kindalin Frenchs Forest have been raving about their favourite new song and game 'The Floor Is Lava' and, if you haven't tried it yet, we think all of our Kindalin families should try it at home with them too! The song directs you to follow many random actions, before it then sirens 'THE FLOOR IS LAVA', where EVERYONE runs for higher grounds and does WHATEVER they can to get off the floor.
