🖤💛❤️ This week is National Reconciliation Week (27 May - 3 June,2026)

This National Reconciliation Week, we’re going All In.

All In is a call for every one of us to actively commit to reconciliation - not just during this week, but every day. It reminds us that reconciliation isn’t something we watch from the sidelines. It requires action, learning, listening, and respect from all Australians, young and old.

Reconciliation is not the sole responsibility of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It’s a shared journey - one that won’t move forward unless we all play our part.

By being All In, we help create a future built on understanding, truth, and meaningful change.

All the children, young people and even educators were so interested in looking at it and feeling the different textures. There were so many guesses about what it could be! 🤔

Hint: it came from nature and had everyone talking today!

The 2026 Blacktown Local Business Awards will be held tonight!

🌟 Last week, the children and young people enjoyed drawing a favourite family memory or holiday they have been on, or one they are looking forward to going on in the future! ✈️🏖️🎨

We loved seeing so many children from Kindy to Year 5 getting involved and sharing their ideas with friends and educators. There were lots of different drawings including beach trips, camping holidays, visiting family, theme parks, and dream holidays they hope to go on one day. 🌏

The children enjoyed talking about their experiences while being creative and using their imaginations through art. It was lovely to see everyone so engaged, proud of their work, and excited to share their stories with others. 💛😊

Learning happens when children are challenged.
Safe, supervised risky play - climbing, balancing, and exploring uneven surfaces - helps children build confidence, strengthen problem‑solving skills, and learn how to assess risk safely.
