UNSW ADSOC hosts unforgettable experiences for students of ALL fitness levels. We welcome people of ALL fitness levels and are beginner-friendly!

Our events are open to all, so come join us in our adventures including hiking, rock climbing/bouldering, kayak/paddle boarding, annual ski trips and so much more! :) ADSOC's events are open to all (including non-UNSW students & non-members) so feel free to come join us anytime, no membership required! 🏕️🌿 ADSOC Goes - Mount Solitary Loop Overnight Hike 🌄🥾
Ready for a challenging weekend out in nature? Join us for a 3-Day overnight hiking and camping adventure through the stunning Blue Mountains! ⛰️

⏰ TIME: Friday 23 October – Sunday 25 October (W6)
📍 WHERE: Mount Solitary Loop, via Ruined Castle, Mount Solitary & Kedumba Valley
👣 DETAILS:
34km Total Hike through the Blue Mountains
2000m Elevation gain
Witness the Ruined Castle rock formation
Summit Mount Solitary
Pass through the iconic Kedumba Valley

💸 PRICING: Free

⚠️ DIFFICULTY: Intermediate (Grade 5)
Due to the difficulty and length of the track, previous hiking experience is required. You’ll need to be comfortable with long distances, significant elevation gain and carrying your own camping gear, food and water for the trip. Please make sure you have suitable hiking equipment and are prepared for changing weather conditions. 🥾🎒

Swap the coastline for a little more adventure as we head into the Blue Mountains for the Glenbrook Gorge Hike! 🥾🌿

This scenic bushwalk takes us through rugged sandstone landscapes, peaceful bushland, and along the beautiful gorge, with plenty of natural scenery to take in along the way.

Expect rocky trails, fresh air, stunning views, and a bit more of a challenge than your usual stroll, all worth it for a day out surrounded by nature! 🌳📸

Distance: ~10 km
Duration: 2 - 2.5 hours
Light snacks provided (for the first 50+ people to arrive) to keep you going as we soak in the peaceful atmosphere 🥪☀️

Perfect for anyone after a chill scenic stroll, good chats, and a chance to enjoy Sydney’s quieter waterfront gems! 📸💚

🌿🥾 Karloo Pools: Scenic Hike ☀️🌊

Spring is finally springing, so what better excuse than to spend a Sunday outside enjoying some fresh air, good views and a little adventure through the Royal National Park 🌞🌱

Starting at Waterfall Station, we’ll make our way through the bush past Uloola Falls 💦 before continuing towards the highlight of the day — the crystal-clear Karloo Pools 🌊🌿

We’ll settle in by the pools for a well-earned lunch 🥪😌, with plenty of time to take some pics 📸, dip your feet in or just relax by the water and enjoy the views.

From there, we’ve got one last stretch through the bush before finishing up at Heathcote Station 🫡

So gather your mates, pack some lunch, lace up your hiking shoes and come spend your Sunday getting your steps in the scenic way 🥾🌿

See you on the trail!!
