Celebrating and learning about different cultures is a big part of our program. It is an important way to build understanding, connection, and respect within our community. 🧡
One of our wonderful families helped us celebrate Lunar New Year with her amazing band, “Viet Lotus.” During this special experience, we enjoyed watching traditional instruments being played, beautiful cultural dancing, and traditional clothing worn by the performers as we celebrated in style. The children were also involved, playing instruments as part of the festivities.
Thank you, Viet Lotus, you are all so amazing and talented. Wishing you a wonderful New Year! 🥰☺️

Little hands at work today. ✋✨ Our preschoolers had fun with a fine motor activity, building finger strength, pincer grip, and eye-hand coordination, as well as developing colour recognition, problem solving, and concentration. All through play!

The children have been actively engaged in craft activities, creating various interpretations of the blue Morpho butterfly in preparation for tomorrow’s event.
By participating, we can shed light on this often overlooked condition that affects thousands of children and their families.
To make the day even more special, we will have a photo booth set up in the foyer where you can take photos of your little one and post them to Instagram.

Our Learn Bright children participated in an amazing project with Kids and Traffic to promote helmet safety. We were thrilled to receive the book created for this project and eagerly read it to the children. A very big thank you to Amanda from Kids and Traffic, who we have formed a strong relationship with and who plays a vital role in our service by helping us educate our children on safety. We all look forward to sharing our upcoming projects regarding keeping children safe.

Today the Aboriginal focus in our curriculum includes learning about the significance of the campfire symbol. The children will participate by singing songs such as Taba Naba, Inanay Capuana, and Tapping on My sticks.
We then listened to the story “Animals All Around Us,” and had a discussion about the animals about all the animals in the story. The educators asks the children, “Which is your favourite?” The children yell out “turtle”.The educators explains to the children that we have just chosen our very own totem for the centre. concluding the activity by toasting marshmallows around a campfire.
Sitting around a campfire with children offers numerous benefits, including a sense of community and belonging, encouraging storytelling and communication skills, providing a calming environment, promoting outdoor learning, Aboriginal perspectives and appreciation of nature, and enhancing cultural education and traditions.
