Sustainability Challenge for July

Creating recycled gardens helps children understand that many everyday items can have a second life instead of ending up in landfill. It also encourages creativity, problem-solving, responsibility and a love of caring for living things.

🚨 MISSING: MISS SUNSET! 🚨

Something mysterious has happened at the centre… our beloved koala, Miss Sunset, has disappeared!

As part of Community Week, the children have shown a strong interest in learning about community helpers, particularly police officers and detectives. To extend this interest, we have created a mystery for our young investigators to solve.

Tomorrow, the children will discover a crime scene, search for clues, investigate evidence, and work together to uncover what happened to Miss Sunset. Through this exciting role-play experience, children will have opportunities to develop their communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork skills while exploring the important role police officers and detectives play in our community.

Will our detectives crack the case and bring Miss Sunset home safely? 🔎🕵️‍♀️🕵️‍♂️

We had our first excursion of the year yesterday. We went to Campbelltown war memorial park.

The children were soo excited! We hopped onto the bus and throughout the drive there, the children were looking out the window pointing out houses, trucks, cars, etc.

When we got there, the children listened well by holding hands with their buddy and following their educator’s directions.
We had a picnic on the grass where Miss Dani read us a storybook in relation to the upcoming Anzac event.
We then had lunch, delicious sandwiches, wraps and popcorn.
In small groups, we went to look at the war displays that were nearby. The children would look at it and their educators would explain what it is.

We then put our wreath down, a group photo and an individual photo with the wreath.
