There was something extra special in the air this morning 💛

Our Margaret Street centre was filled with laughter, cuddles, proud little faces and so much love as we welcomed our beautiful mums and grandmas for Mothers Day Morning Tea.

With shared experiences and delicious treats enjoyed together, it was such a lovely celebration of the incredible women who nurture, comfort, encourage and love so deeply every single day.

To all the mums, grandmas and special mother figures in our Care for Kindies family... thank you for everything you do. We loved spending the morning with you 🌷

And to our amazing team, thank you for creating such thoughtful, beautiful experiences for our families. You made the morning truly unforgettable ✨

What your child might say happened today…
“Nothing.”

But behind that “nothing” was so much more.

They created.
They listened.
They connected.
They challenged themselves.
They learned how to be part of a group.
They discovered what they’re capable of.

The learning that matters most doesn’t always come home in a bag…
and it doesn’t always come out in words.

But it’s there. Every single day.

This is what “nothing” can look like 🧡

Save this for the days you need the reminder.

🥕🍖 Hidden veggies, big flavour, happy tummies!

Today in the kitchen, Miss Elly whipped up one of our all-time favourites — a comforting lamb casserole packed with hidden veggies that fuel growing bodies and busy little minds.

From slow cooking the rich, hearty flavours… to the final moments where the children sit together, share, and enjoy every bite — this is mealtime at its best: nourishing, social, and full of learning 🌱💛

And of course, our little helpers didn’t stop there — they proudly stacked their bowls and cutlery afterwards, ready for washing up like pros! 🧼👏

Want to try it at home? Comment below for the recipe 😋

Because good food isn’t just eaten… it’s experienced. 🍽️✨

Your child didn’t just play today.

They negotiated.
They solved problems.
They practised patience.
They built confidence.
They learned how to be part of a group.

To little children, play is never “just play.”
It’s how they learn about the world, themselves, and others.

So next time someone says, “They just played all day…”
Send them this 🧡

Save this post for those days you need the reminder.

Have you ever wondered why one child needs time to think, another needs a cuddle first, and another just wants to jump straight in? 🤔

Following our recent parents’ evening, we’ve shared a new blog exploring a simple way to understand your child’s communication style… whether they tend to think, feel, or do.

It’s not about labels. Instead, it’s about tuning in, responding differently, and helping your child feel truly understood 💛

We were so fortunate to welcome Alina Dan to our recent Parent Evening at Care for Kindies 🧡

Alina shared powerful insights into the many different communication styles we all bring into our relationships with children — and how understanding these differences can completely transform the way we connect, guide, and support them.

Because there’s no “one right way” to communicate… only opportunities to listen more closely, respond more thoughtfully, and meet each child where they are 🌱

A big thank you to all our families who joined us for such a meaningful evening. We love creating spaces where learning extends beyond the classroom and into the heart of our community.
