This week we honour and celebrate National Reconciliation Week — a time to learn, reflect and walk together toward a more united future.
Our learning spaces were filled with creativity, storytelling and hands-on experiences as children explored Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures through art, symbols, nature play and collaborative activities. From painting and storytelling to creating meaningful displays inspired by Country and community, these experiences encouraged curiosity, respect and connection.
We are proud to support opportunities for children to develop an understanding of Australia’s rich First Nations histories, cultures and perspectives, and to continue building relationships grounded in respect and reconciliation. ❤️🖤💛

This week, our children are exploring Aboriginal culture, storytelling and connection to Country through hands-on learning experiences and sensory play.
The children engaged with natural materials, Indigenous symbols, loose parts and creative experiences inspired by First Nations perspectives. Through clay work, storytelling invitations, sensory exploration and art experiences, children were encouraged to explore identity, belonging, respect and connection to the land around us.
These experiences support children to develop curiosity, empathy and appreciation for the world’s oldest continuing culture while fostering meaningful conversations about reconciliation, inclusion and community.
As we reflect on this year’s theme, “All In,” we acknowledge that reconciliation is everyone’s responsibility and that every voice, action and learning opportunity matters.

This week we proudly begin our journey through National Reconciliation Week 2026 with this year’s powerful theme, “All In for Reconciliation.” ❤️💛🖤
The children explored Indigenous symbols, tracks, meeting places and storytelling through hands-on experiences using natural materials, play dough and mark making. Together we discussed the importance of connection to Country, culture, community and respecting First Nations peoples and histories.
Through play and discovery, the children were encouraged to trace symbols, create tracks and engage in meaningful conversations about belonging, caring for the land and learning from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
As a learning community, we are proudly “All In” — listening, learning and walking together toward reconciliation and a more connected future for all. ✨

Today our preschool children participated in the Bravehearts Ditto’s Keep Safe Adventure Program. Through music, movement, storytelling, and interactive experiences, the children learned important personal safety skills in a fun and engaging way.
The program helped children explore:
• recognising safe and unsafe feelings
• understanding body safety
• identifying trusted adults
• using their voice to speak up and seek help
The children were excited to meet Ditto and actively joined in with songs, actions, and discussions, building confidence and awareness in a supportive environment. We value opportunities like these that empower children with lifelong safety skills while supporting their social and emotional wellbeing.

🚧🦖 Our little learners have been busy exploring through hands-on play and discovery!
Today we engaged in construction sensory play using diggers, trucks and “bricks,” encouraging teamwork, problem-solving and imaginative thinking as the children created their own building sites.
We also explored early maths and fine motor skills through loose parts play, creating shapes, patterns and dinosaur outlines using colourful counters and manipulatives. 🟣🟡🟢
These experiences support creativity, spatial awareness, communication and critical thinking while making learning fun and engaging. ✨

Today we explored a variety of hands-on learning experiences through imaginative and sensory play! 🚗🦁🌿
The children enjoyed investigating monster trucks using ramps, coloured rice and different pathways. They explored movement, speed and direction as they drove the vehicles up, down and across the tracks, experimenting with how the trucks moved on different surfaces.
We also engaged in a creative colour-matching activity using monster truck playdough mats. The children rolled, squashed and shaped the playdough to match the colours of the trucks, supporting fine motor development and creativity.
Our zoo and safari sensory setup encouraged the children to explore different animals, habitats and environments through imaginative play. Using animal figurines, natural materials and books, the children discussed animal names, sounds and where they live while creating their own zoo adventures.
These experiences supported:
• Fine motor development
• Problem solving and critical thinking
• Imaginative and cooperative play
• Colour recognition and matching
• Language development and communication
• Exploration of animals and their habitats
The children showed wonderful curiosity, creativity and engagement throughout the experiences today! 🌈✨

As part of our ongoing space program, the children explored the solar system through books, discussion, and creative learning experiences. 🌍🪐✨
Using our interactive space resources, the children showed great curiosity as they discovered the different planets, talked about stars and rockets, and shared what they already know about space. The learning environment encouraged conversation, questioning, and imaginative thinking as the children engaged in drawing and creating their own space-inspired designs. 🚀
These experiences support early literacy, creativity, fine motor skills, and collaborative learning while fostering a love of discovery and exploration. We look forward to continuing our journey through space together! 🌌⭐
