Our Joeys and Kangaroos had a wonderful time coming together to celebrate what makes our community so special inclusion, kindness, and the many different families that make up our world.

The children enjoyed:

It was a lovely day filled with creativity, laughter, and learning about the importance of accepting and celebrating everyone for who they are.

This month our preschoolers have been learning all about the life cycle of a bee, discovering how these incredible pollinators grow, work, and support our environment!

Through hands-on, play-based experiences, led by a teacher to support their intentional teaching and understanding children are developing key foundational skills for school, including:

🔢 Counting and sequencing the stages of the bee’s life cycle, and counting the sides of the hexagons that form the honeycomb

🎨 Recognising colours, shapes, and patterns to support early cognitive development, and replicating patterns they observe on activity cards

✋ Strengthening fine motor skills and pincer grip through engaging bee-counting activities, using tongs to place bees into the hive

🧠 Enhancing cognitive development through observation, questioning, and problem-solving
