The Department of Home Affairs has updated both the accepted English tests and minimum score requirements for visa applicants:

🌟 What’s New?

✅ IELTS General Training is now accepted — not just Academic!
✅ LanguageCert Academic added to the approved list
✅ PTE Academic score requirements reduced:
• Undergraduate/Postgraduate: from 50 ➡ 47
• Diploma/Foundation: from 42 ➡ 39
✅ TOEFL iBT score slightly increased to better reflect academic readiness
⏸️ IELTS Academic requirements remain unchanged
Important Note on Test Dates:
If your English test was taken before or 6 August 2025, the old requirements apply.
If your test was taken on 7th August 2025, the new (updated) score thresholds will be applicable.

Australia is once again proving it's a top global study destination! The government has set the National Planning Level (NPL) to 295,000 for 2026 — 🔺 25,000 more than in 2025!

📢 This is a golden opportunity for aspiring international students to turn their dreams into reality!

🔑 Key Updates:

✅ No reduction for current providers – 2025 allocations remain intact.
✅ Public universities with strong Southeast Asia ties & student accommodation support can apply for more places.
✅ New Ministerial Direction to guide 2026 allocations.
✅ Priority visa processing for Pacific nations, Timor-Leste & Australian scholarship holders.
✅ Exemptions for transitions from secondary schools & pathway providers.
✅ From 2027, a new Tertiary Education Commission will oversee international education growth.

If you’re applying for a UK Student visa from 15 July 2025, you may not get a vignette (visa sticker) in your passport.

You’ll still get a vignette if you apply as a student dependant or as a main applicant for visas other than sponsored study or work.
