Today, our Joeys had lots of fun exploring facial features through a hands-on Velcro activity!

With simple questions like, “Where are your eyes?”, “How many eyes do you have?” and “Where should we put the hair?”, our little learners were encouraged to identify different facial features, make choices and build their language and understanding.

Step by step, they created their very own faces — and watching their little faces light up as their creations came together was simply gorgeous!

Play, explore, discover and learn — one little face at a time!

For science week, our continuous provision has been transformed into a world of discovery, investigation and experimentation. The Kangaroos have been busy exploring magnets, mixing colours, oobleck, science books, pipettes, test tubes and so much more!

Through open ended play, the children are developing their skills as young scientists, observing, predicting, questioning, testing ideas and discovering what happens next. 🔍🧪

There’s been lots of curiosity, conversation and plenty of “WOW, look what happened!” moments!

It was a wonderful way to explore how turn simple ingredients into something amazing!

After spotting tadpoles in centennial park, a child’s curiosity sparked some sensory play. We scooped, explored and squished while talking about how tadpoles turn into frogs.

Who knew a salad spinner could create such amazing art? 🎨🌀

The children explored how different pulling motions changed the speed of the spinner, creating unique patterns while strengthening their fine and gross motor skills. A fun way to investigate movement, force and creativity—all at once!
