Simple movements, real people, real strength đŸ’„
Simple doesn’t mean easy 😉
In fact, understanding simple exercises deeply is the mark of a true expert
exercise and your body are already genius, your tissue and adaptability as a human still supersedes the greatest minds, but generally we know this:

Food
It’s literally what fuels your body, builds your skin, populates your gut biome. It impacts mood, hormones, happiness 😃

It matters what you eat, cooking at home is Generally light years better than eating out.

Things that turn good meals into great meals:
- herbs
- spices
- sauce
- contrasting textures ie crunchy and soft
- pairing drinks, ie sparkling water, coffee, tea, red wine.

Make it fun đŸ„ł

Things that are fun can be adhered to for life.

“Be good, MOST of the time” 😉

Feet...they are the pillars of your movements đŸŠ¶đŸŸ

How splayed your toes are, and the arches (or lack thereof) tell me immediately your capacity to balance, stabilise, and create force production/power.

Why?

Balance - Narrow/cramped feet mechanically have less surface area to balance on, wider base of support can help maintain and increase balance and stability.
Splayed toes create a greater surface area and “tripod” (heel, big toe, pinky toe) to work off.

Power - Cramped feet with poor movement lack increased capacity to lengthen and shorten tissue. How well you sprint can largely be determined by how well your tissue stretches and recoils, your feet are no different, springy feet means tissue that lengthens and recoils with ease, if you don’t have that kind of tissue, your foot becomes more like a brick than a spring. Thinking a rubber band made out of concrete as opposed to rubber, we need elasticity to create force and tension, and thus power.

Stability - if you’re foot is put into a box we call a shoe, where your foot has to change shape and cram into a coffin, the muscles in the foot weaken as they are no longer being used due to hyperactive footwear. The idea is to use as minimal shoe is necessary for the job. Why? Well it means you’re actually using the muscles in the foot towards their foundational purpose...movement tasks and riddles. Your feet are genius, aid them with the right footwear, don’t over do it and you will be rewarded with strong feet. It will translate into every movement in your life, and your movement and life will gain great stability through strong hooves.

Tools that help:
- silicone toe spreaders (Ebay $3)
- barefoot shoes (wide toe mouth to allow for ACTUAL feet, not triangles) $70ish
- walk barefoot as much as you can $FREE
- Use appropriate footwear but don’t over do it, if the shoe doesn’t bend in half, or you can’t “feel” the ground, you better be going on some serious hikes otherwise you may be using a shovel to make a sandcastle.

Food for though 🧠👣

During the most testing times, one of the only things you may have control over is your mind and body.

Exploring your body through exercise releases chemicals, these chemicals often make us feel amazing.

During this challenging and unknown time, I urge you to focus on your mental and physical health.

How?... walking in the sun, moving your body in any way, breathing in fresh air, playing a coordination sport (ie boxing, tennis, ping pong), dancing, tai chi, meditation, sitting in nature, breathing deep and noticing your thoughts, emotions and sounds...Why?

All of these things release dopamine in the brain, dopamine makes us feel good and can work to minimise the affects of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.

It’s crucial you focus on your mental health.

It’s crucial you find people that also care about your mental and physical health too.

We care
