8 weeks ago, I started a journey -
CONTEST PREPARATION FOR SEASON B 23.

With my coach on my side we I went on an endevour which is described best as a challenge straight from the start!

Getting into competition shape in such a short time was something I have never attempted before and seemed impossible in my mind at that stage.

With the right mindset in place I knew:

"EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE - AS LONG AS YOU BELIEVE IN YOURSELF"

Mindset + mental strength were key components of my preparation for this season. I knew there was a lot at stake as I went out to defend my title of national Champion in classic physique open for the 3rd time in 2023.

As in every preparation life tested my willpower and determination on almost a daily basis. As the show dates got closer, the challenges became more significant. BUT something interesting happened:

As they challenges rose, I became more determined, more focused, more hungry and more resilient.

But it was at no point a lonely journey. With my inner circle ready to support, I knew there is someone, when I needed to talk, ready to get involved, when things went wrong and got out of my hands and simply always there when needed.

This prep and season was intended to build new skills, competing in multiple events, bringing a new level my physique on stage and accomplishing this in less than half the time than I would normally prepare for a show.

Looking back on the last weeks I can say confidently & happily say:

- MISSION ACCOMPLISHED -

...physique sports...

A lot of times it's all about SIZE.

The fact that it is all about size tells you what it is ACTUALLY about underneath the surface of the visual appearance.

It is about confidence, self-esteem, self worth and mindset... YOUR WHY...

BODYBUILDING is so much more than GETTING BIG, HUGE OR A MASS MONSTER!

In my understanding it is about connecting with your inner self, establishing a strong connection of the body + mind. It should be an EXPRESSION of your SOUL.

STRETCHING, FLEXIBILITY, MOBILITY, RECOVERY, HEALTH, NUTRITION, MOVEMENT, RHYTHM, PERFORMING ON STAGE, STRESS MANAGEMENT + FOCUS are all integral part of the lifestyle of a bodybuilding athlete.

If you just doing it to get big - you are doing it for the wrong reasons!
