While you’re working… childhood is still unfolding 🍂

Most preschools wouldn’t stop their morning to sing beneath Autumn trees.
We do.

Why?

Because we believe childhood learning lives in the small moments.

As adults rushing to work, timekeeping, and managing the day-to-day chaos, it’s easy to lose sight of what childhood is truly about.

It’s not just about who learns their 1, 2, 3’s first… or who can memorise facts the quickest.

It’s about the moments quietly shaping who the child becomes as a person.

Many of our families share the same worry:
“I’m working… but I still want my child nurtured.”
“If I’m at work, who’s caring for my child with the same values I would?”

Well… we are

At Let’s Play, we believe childhood is something far more sacred than milestones, checklists, and rushing children toward the next stage.

So we stop to smell the roses.

We engage the children deeply with the real world around them.

We leave the four walls of the classroom daily and step out into the community to experience learning firsthand.

To sing beneath Autumn trees, we first walk there together.

Along the way, the children are practicing:
✨ road safety
✨ confidence
✨ kindness
✨ social awareness
✨ staying together as a group
✨ connecting with their wider community

And perhaps most importantly…

they are learning that childhood is not something to rush through.

It’s something to fully live.

So while you’re at work…
childhood is still unfolding 🍂

This IS education… just not the kind most people recognise anymore.

Children don’t learn Autumn from worksheets.

They learn it by living it 🍂

By feeling crisp air on their skin.
By crunching leaves beneath their feet.
By watching colours change before their eyes.
By singing songs beneath Autumn trees while red and golden leaves fall from above.

This isn’t “just play.”

This is sensory integration.
Language development.
Seasonal awareness.
Gross motor movement.
Rhythm.
Connection.
Wonder.

And most importantly…

it allows the child to truly experience the world with their whole body before being asked to intellectualise it.

At Let’s Play, we don’t rush children through childhood in the name of education.

We use childhood AS the education.

Because children learn best when something is lived, felt, touched, smelled, sung, explored, and experienced in real time.

Truthfully, what looks simple on the surface is often deeply intentional underneath.

And these are the kinds of experiences that build children who feel grounded, capable, connected, and ready to learn later on.

This is what early childhood was always meant to feel like and somewhere along the way, childhood became rushed.

While you’re at work wondering…

“Will my child cope when school begins?”
“Will they know how to sit in a group?”
“Will they feel confident enough to join in?”

These are the foundations we gently nurture long before academics ever begin 🤍

Through songs, rhythm, movement, imitation, and shared moments of play, children slowly begin to feel safe within a group.

They learn to listen.
To wait.
To participate.
To follow along with confidence.

Not because they’re pressured to…
but because they feel secure enough to.

This is what school readiness looks like in early childhood.

Not rushing ahead.
But building the emotional and social foundations that allow learning to unfold naturally later on ✨

And when those foundations are strong…
school feels softer, safer, and far less overwhelming for a child.

If this kind of gentle beginning resonates with you, we’d love to welcome you in to experience a morning with us 🥰

💡What happens when a child can’t wait their turn…
can’t speak up…
or doesn’t know how to be part of a group?

Have you ever wondered why some children are so confident in getting their needs met, while others hold back?

It begins in moments like this.

Where children are playing…
but also gently building the foundations for school and life.

It’s here they learn to:
• communicate
• listen
• take turns
• follow a social rhythm

Not because they’re being taught…
but because they’re living it in their bodies.

This is how Let’s Play prepares your child for school, and beyond. With intention, and a truly holistic approach.

We have a small number of places available at the moment.

If this resonates, send us a message 🤍

✨ 📚Nothing is being taught here, and yet everything is being learned…

When we allow space and freedom, children will often source their own learning
through connection, imagination, and simply doing

Two small humans
A few simple costumes
And a shared world unfolding in its own time

🚫 No instructions
📋 No learning objectives
🧭 No adult directing the story

Just imagination, negotiation, care and belonging
quietly weaving themselves into the tapestry of their learning

This is how children grow when they are trusted.
This is how confidence, language, empathy and joy take root.

This is Where Education Begins 🌱✨

In shared songs.
In gentle finger play.
In warm eye contact and familiar voices.

At Let’s Play Daycare, education lives in relationship.
Through song, movement, imitation, and human connection, children learn how it feels to belong, and from that place, everything else can grow 🌱

When an educator sits with children and sings, something deeper is taking place.
Language is woven through rhythm.
Listening is learned through connection.
Security is built through presence.

This is not rushed learning.
Not performance-based or outcome-driven.

It is the slow, steady building of emotional safety, trust, and joy. The foundations children need for confidence, friendships, and a lifelong love of learning.

🎶 Before letters and numbers come rhythm and relationship.
🤍 Before independence comes connection.

🎶🪺 Little Birdies 🪺

I have built a little nest,
look inside, look inside,
Little birdies with their beaks,
Open wide, open wide,
And the little birdies grow
Day by day, day by day,
And they spread their wings and
Fly away, fly away 🎶

For families seeking more than academics, this is education for the whole child.

This is what learning looks like when childhood is protected and rhythms and cycles are honoured 🌞

No screens.
No rush.
Just song, movement, and the rhythm of the seasons.

This is one of our Summer Seasonal songs, “Birds in the Air.”
Its gentle tune hums throughout our days at Let’s Play —
during Morning Circle, on our bush walks, and woven softly through play 🥰🌱

🌲 A Childhood That Feels Like Childhood

If you grew up decorating a real Christmas tree, you’ll remember the feeling.
The scent of pine. The hush. The magic. The way time seemed to slow down for a moment.

That is exactly what we want for our children here at Let’s Play.
A place where traditions are lived gently and slowly.
A place that feels like home, not a centre.
A place where your little one is known, held, and invited into beauty. ✨

This week, the children gathered around our freshly picked Pine Tree and chose a simple, handmade ornament to hang with care. Wool. Wood. Soft fibres. Items that carry warmth and meaning. Some families even crated an ornament and brought it in especially. 🎄🎊

In Waldorf education, these small traditions are more than celebrations.
They help children feel the rhythms of the year.
They signal belonging, community, and a sense of “I know this. I feel safe and familiar here.” 💛

For a child, this is emotional security.
For a parent, it is peace of mind.
And for all of us, it is a reminder that beauty lives in the simplest moments. ✨

📥 If you’re longing for a preschool that honours childhood, celebrates tradition, and feels like a true community, comment “TRADITIONS” and we’ll reach out personally to invite you for a visit and to say hello. I’d love to meet you! 🥰

✨ What if education felt more like childhood and not a race? 🌿

A place where little hands explore slowly, not hurriedly.
Where wonder is the curriculum, and imagination leads the way.
Where childhood isn’t measured by milestones, but by moments.

At Let’s Play, we believe learning should feel like living.
Every story, every song, every moment in the garden is part of something bigger, the unfolding of who your child is becoming.

Rooted in the Waldorf Steiner philosophy, our days follow the natural rhythm of childhood, calm, unhurried, and full of meaning.
Because when we give children time to play, create, and connect, they don’t fall behind…
they fall into themselves. 💛

✨ Discover a slower, more soulful start to learning.
