The annual Show Legend Award has recognised outstanding service and commitment to the Show since 2001. It provides an opportunity for the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) to publicly acknowledge a member of the Show Family who has worked tirelessly to support and strengthen the Show. The award also helps continue this tradition by enabling each Legend to pass on their knowledge to the next generation of Show Family members.

The RAS is proud to honour Jane Gibson as the 2026 Show Legend, recognising her outstanding service to the RAS over the past two decades. Joining the Arts & Crafts section as a Steward in 2006, Jane now serves as Chair and Steward-in-Chief of the Arts & Crafts Auxiliary Committee. Under her leadership, the Arts & Crafts competition has continued to thrive, while her work with the Heritage Committee has helped preserve the Society's rich history for future generations.

Congratulations, Jane!

What an incredible visit this morning!

We were delighted to welcome 30 students from Nyngan High School, who were supported by the RAS Foundation to attend the Stand Tall Australia event at International Convention Centre Sydney - ICC Sydney yesterday.

For many, it was their very first time in Sydney... and what an experience it was! From exploring Darling Harbour to catching a ferry to Circular Quay and Manly, it’s safe to say they made the most of every moment.

On their way home, the group stopped at Sydney Showground for a quick tour and morning tea, learning about ENGIE Stadium, RAS initiatives, and agricultural career pathways. They also heard from RAS Foundation Manager, Cecilia Logan, about scholarships for rural and regional students.

We loved hosting such a bright and enthusiastic group . Safe travels home, Nyngan High!
