Martial Arts School where traditional Kyokushin karate is taught and practiced. Also traditional Weapons as taught in Okinawa, Japan by Hokama Sensei.

Martial Arts is a way of life and is taught in the true Japanese tradition and values of budo.

Sad news today, advised that Wolfgang Vogel Sensei had passed away. Wolfie was always good fun, a larger than life character and always took time with our students. He was one of the first to welcome me into the KU Family and whenever we had to partner up I still hear him saying "Ricky get over here". Our condolences to his family and the wider KU family. We will all miss you big fella. Osu. Rest in peace.

The frustration continues with the new building sitting ready to go with no advise on final paperwork. Have been advised it will be done by the end of the month (but been given dates before only to be postponed) It will happen and it will be worth the wait.
In the mean time if you are keen to start or start back come down to the Scout Hall in Annangrove before the move.

Dojo update: The building is finished, the complex is finished. Just waiting on council paper work to be finalised. Very frustrating.
Hopefully not too long and the fit out can start.

Saturday 13th June we held our Senior Grading with Nevin Alwis from the Hills District dojo awarded Ni-Dan and Jakobe Chan-Gale from the Ballina dojo awarded Shodan. A five and a half hour grading of which both were pushed past the limit.
Congratulations to both and welcome to the Black belt family.
My thanks to all dojo operators and Black belts for their help on the day. Special thanks to Shihan John Williams for overseeing the day.
Very happy with the standard and commitment within the MOKKA group. Osu
