June and July has been jam-packed with exciting learning and laughter! From cozy PJ Week to smiling through dentist visits, capturing memories with school photos, celebrating culture during NAIDOC Week, and learning all about healthy habits with Healthy Harold — it’s been a whirlwind of fun, discovery, and growth.

Today was National Simultaneous Story-time and we joined the nation to read this years Nominated book, The Truck Cat.
National Simultaneous Story Time is held every year in May and is aimed to promote the value of reading and literacy. Each year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian Author and Illustrator is chosen to be the book for this event.

The week here at Play’n’Around was spent engaging in a range of different Easter celebrations, where the children got to express their creative skills and share their knowledge.
Many fun learning moments were held and enjoyed. 🐣💛

Harmony Week.
During Harmony week, we were joined by Michelle Derrig as she read us her new book, "Ten Little Aussies", explaining diversity, inclusion, friendship, Australian culture and counting.
The children were engaged throughout her reading and were very appreciative for Michelle’s visit.
We also participated in many learning opportunities, involving the meaning surrounding Harmony day, shared great conversations and celebrated with orange clothing and accessories.
