What a way to start the day!!!

Today we got to welcome these super humans - Amara and April along with our new ‘Grandfriends’

Amara and April will be leading our Intergenerational Program over the next 20 weeks

I popped in and out during the sessions and can honestly say it was such a beautiful vision of connection

This program brings together members of our local senior community with a group of children here at Platinum.

In alignment with our values and sdg program, it’s a such a meaningful opportunity to build connections, share experiences, and learn from one another across generations.

We are incredibly excited to begin this journey and can’t wait to share the experience with you all!

We are thrilled to be launching our Intergenerational Program next Wednesday.

Running for 2 hours each Wednesday morning over 20 weeks, this special program brings together members of our local senior community with a group of children here at Platinum.

It’s a meaningful opportunity to build connections, share experiences, and learn from one another across generations.

This thoughtfully designed program has been developed and funded by The George Institute and UNSW.

Ten children have been selected to participate, having been nominated by their families last September.

We are incredibly excited to begin this journey and can’t wait to share the experience with you all!

Gearing up for a lovely Mother’s Day celebration

The children will be singing their little hearts out for all our beautiful mums then will head to our Mother’s Day stall!

💐 hosted a Valentines’s Day Flower Stall, donating all sale proceeds to CaringKids! The Platinum Preschool Community raised $810 to fund toys, games, school stationery and sports equipment for young carers. Thank you Platinum Preschool Community for bringing joy to the youngest carers and their families 💐 ✨

The Australian Government is enhancing support for young Australians by expanding Medicare funding for speech pathology services.

This significant change moves beyond the current EPC (Chronic Disease Management) plan structure.

Key details include: Increased access to sessions from 5 to 8 assessments and 20 treatments per year for eligible patients under 25.

The new Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) M10 group covers a range of conditions including stuttering, speech sound disorders, and cleft lip and/or palate.

This initiative targets children and young people under 25.

To access these services, patients need a care plan from their GP, which requires a face-to-face long appointment. Book your appointment today 81882568

While I count my blessings every single day living in this incredible country, I always stop to think of those who are doing life really tough so when my friend Sally reached out and asked if I could help a family in need, what was I gonna say? I just couldn’t walk away from a family of 3 who have been sleeping on the floor with no proper beds. On Monday myself Sally and her son delivered a double bed as that was the most urgent item required as a result of her son tearing ligaments in his knee. The son, Mum and Grandmother are the most beautiful people you could meet so we’re putting a shopping list to our wonderful community to help…Goods required are below and please remember electrical items have to be brand new and other items new or as good as new.
