Ballet Without Border's mission is to enable all children to participate in ballet through workshops and sustainable pathways to ballet education. Few kids do.
Ballet Without Borders is an Australian organisation that helps support children from underprivileged and low socioeconomic backgrounds to experience the joy of ballet. The idea behind this initiative started when as an adult dancer I realised how expensive ballet was. The pointe shoes ($100 a pair), the classes, the private coaching, warm up pants and foam rollers. As a child migrating from Ukrai

Thank you to Principal Artist of The Australian Ballet for sharing her ballet story (copied below) and supporting the work of Ballet Without Borders!
“Why should ballet be accessible to all children?
Let me tell you my story...
I grew up in Tamworth NSW, the country music capital known mostly for its annual country music festival. While I did try my hand (or feet) at line dancing, it was ballet that really spoke to me. All I wanted to do was dance, I was never sitting still.
I’d often make mix tapes from the radio and dance the afternoon away on the back verandah with my sister. Dancing was a huge part of my childhood, I have so many beautiful memories. I feel so fortunate that my family were able to send me to ballet classes, making many sacrifices for me to dance overseas and always encouraging me to work hard and follow my dreams. Ballet has brought me so much joy, taught me so much and I wish that ballet be accessible to any child that wishes to dance. Ballet Without Borders is such a wonderful charity helping to make this possible! If you’d like to share your own story and share the work of the charity , visit for more details on how to get involved.”

The work will be part of ‘An Evening
