Look what our rooms have been doing for Reconciliation Week!! Full of fun and great learning opportunities!!

Gula Room: A nice cultural corner with sensory toys and natural materials to boost baby’s sensory exploration!! They also created Torres Islander Flag with the young children together!

Wombat Room: It’s the season of Bayin Dyarra (wet and cool) in Dharug Language. Children have been learning the weather from many fun activities. Creating rain display with recycled materials is definitely one of the highlights for the week!!

Crocodile Room: look at their dramatic corner in rural cultural theme. Children get to explore Aboriginal people’s life style through living in the tent, lighting up stick fire and hunting for fish!! So much fun!!

Walking Together in Reconciliation 🖤💛❤️

Our children have been exploring National Reconciliation Week through stories, dramatic play, art and conversations about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

Using books, natural materials and a beautiful tree bark dot painting, children shared their ideas about Country, people, animals and belonging while developing respect and appreciation for the world’s oldest living cultures.

We are proud to support children in building understanding, respect and connection as we continue to learn and walk together in reconciliation.

🐠✨ Exciting News at Goodstart North Ryde! ✨🐠

Our children have been showing a wonderful interest in fish, so we decided to bring their curiosity to life with a brand new fish tank at our centre! 🐟💙

Our little learners absolutely adore their new fish friends — saying “hello” in the morning and “goodbye” at the end of the day has already become part of our daily routine! 😊

We can’t wait to continue learning and growing together through this exciting new experience. Come and meet our little fish friends next time you visit! 🌊🐠

We had the most wonderful time celebrating with a special Build-A-Teddy event organised by one of our parents. Watching all the children create their own cuddly teddy bears brought so many smiles, laughter, and happy memories.

Look! Goodstart is on the bus!!!

Today our nursery children explored Aboriginal dot painting and had so much fun getting creative! 🎨🖤💛❤️

Using cotton tips and paint, the children created their own beautiful dot art inspired by Aboriginal culture and storytelling through symbols and patterns. This hands-on experience encouraged fine motor skills, creativity, and cultural learning in a meaningful and age-appropriate way.

We loved seeing the children so engaged, curious, and proud of their artwork as they explored a unique painting style connected to Australia’s rich Aboriginal heritage. 🌿✨

Our toddlers had so much fun exploring Australian animal tracks today! 🦘🐍🦎 Using paint and toy animals, the children created colourful tracks while engaging in sensory play, creativity, and imaginative learning. What a messy and exciting adventure! 🎨✨
