Introductory courses give you an overview of the Fashion Industry, enabling you to then focus on specialist areas. Some of our courses are designed for people who want to work in the Fashion Industry at a supervisory or management level. We also tailor courses for individuals and small niche businesses who want to make custom designed garments. We are specialists in Patternmaking and our training
covers the latest in Patternmaking Technology and CAD Software. Our students participate in Australian Fashion Design Awards and many of them go on to have successful careers in the Australian Fashion Industry. Learning Environment
There are ten (10) staff working within the Fashion Section. All teachers have qualifications in Teaching and Learning and are master couturier and technical experts in their field. Class sizes are small with no more than 15 students per group. Each student works with a member of staff to develop their own training plan so that they can achieve their career and individual goals. Strong links with Industry and local small businesses give us an insight into current trends in the Fashion Industry and allows us to place students into suitable positions for industry experience. Classes focus on practical activities and are conducted in state-of-the-art workshops. Students often receive individual tuition when using specialised machinery or processes.
