1WL ❤️ HSPS!
1WL have been eagerly waiting to visit all the special places in our school, and when our chance finally arrived, we were so excited!
First, we visited the yarning circle in recognition of Reconciliation Week. The topic of discussion was "Things we do to connect with our family". We took turns talking and we also listened to everyone respectfully.
Then, 1WL went to Harri's Edible Garden where we were amazed at how beautiful the plants and flowers are. We recognized a lot of vegetables that we eat at home like tomatoes, carrots and lettuce! We also explored the bush tucker corner and acknowledged how Aboriginal people are connected to the land and nature.
We finally finished up at Harrington Street's new outdoor learning space. 1WL realised how lucky we are to have such a beautiful space where we can have rich, engaging learning experiences.
1WL are so grateful to have such a beautiful school that we can come to every day!

6B - Buddy time!
6B had the pleasure of hosting 2A in our room for an afternoon of Origami and storytelling. Students folded paper hats to wear, and talked about an adventure they wish they were going to embark on in the future. They folded the paper and turned it into a boat to create a story of where they were going and what they wanted to do there. Finally, they finished pulling the boat apart and it became a shirt. Students decorated their shirts with their holiday memories.
A really great and enjoyable sharing experience for everyone!
