ππHave you met Ramona?ππ
Ramona has been a part of our 360 Macquarie Park community for sixteen years- one of our longest serving team members! Ramona leads the classrooms in the Under 3βs as she implements the primary carer model, moving back and forth between the Geckos and Turtles on a two year cycle to ensure consistency of care for the families she works with.
Beyond her talent with emotion coaching for the children and guiding educators as a room leader, did you know that Ramona is an exceptionally talented piano player? Outside of work Ramona loves gardening and going on long drives with her husband and two sons, exploring Sydney.
Ramona is an integral part of our Macquarie Park community and we love working with her every day!

πΏ Bush School adventures at 360 Macquarie Park!
Bush school is such a valuable program for our 4 year olds at 360 Macquarie Park. To be able to get out into the bush, to climb over rocks, and explore local flora and fauna.
As an extension of our previous lesson not only did we find Wadanggari (Banksia) but also we spotted Kookaburras and a Wallaby! The children are making plans for what to discover on their next bush school journey.

We have commenced our campus nature walks at Macquarie Park πΏ
As we explore our local environment, we value the opportunity to build appreciation and respect for Darug culture. Together, we take a nura yana in the bunnal a walk on Country in the sunshine and observe the natural world around us.
Along the way, children are learning to recognise midyuburi, dirrabari and gurrundurrung Lily Pily, Ironbark and Paperbark, developing a deeper connection to nature, language and Country.
These moments invite curiosity, care for our environment, and meaningful learning grounded in respect for Aboriginal culture and knowledge.

This week marks 9 years of service for our beloved educator Chau! ππ
Know as Chau-Chau by many, families who have been a part of our community for the last decade would have been able to enjoy her warmth, devoted care for the children and infectious giggles as she has moved through the classrooms working with all age brackets. Having two grown daughters of her own, she loves the time she gets to spend with the babies the best as she loves to see them grow.

In the Crocs room, our learning environment has been thoughtfully set up to support the many ways children choose to learn. Some children enjoy working at the table, others stretch out on the floor, explore fine motor experiences, engage in sensorial play, or collaborate with their peers. Some are also diving into their interest in dinosaurs through books π¦π
This rich environment supports exploration of science, early literacy, matching and one to one correspondence, while encouraging curiosity, independence and shared learning.

π»π§"We're going on a bear hunt!" In the soft summer rain.
We conduct risk benefit assessment regarding pros and cons for what may be viewed as 'risky play' experiences and implement strategies to make these work. Having spare raincoats available and enclosed non-slip shoes means that for the children who need to be active, the play can still go on! Let's find the bear!
