"I'm not taking you to training if you don't listen."
If you've ever said that to your child, you're not alone.
Parents tell us this all the time.. their kids love this program so much that it's become the ultimate bargaining chip at home.
Here's what we've learned from coaching thousands of kids: Threatening to take away the one thing that's actually working isn't discipline. It's borrowed fear. And fear teaches a child to hide, not to grow.
If your child isn't listening at home, that's not a reason to keep them away from Invincible. It's the reason to bring them in.
This is the exact skill we train.. not just kicks and blocks, but the pause before the reaction. The breath before the outburst. The moment a child learns to catch themselves before they need catching.
Next time they're having a hard week, don't take away the training. Take away the iPad. It's not teaching them anything.. this is.
You'll save yourself a lot more headaches down the road than the ones you're avoiding tonight.
Remember why you brought your child here in the first place, it’s not for kicks and punches.
It’s to have someone else in your corner, helping them build the very skill you're trying to teach at home.
And if this was your week, tell your child's coach. We can work on it with them in class or have a quick chat with them, that's exactly what this program is for.
