Today is National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day (Children’s Day).🖤💛❤️
It is a day for all Australians to show their support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, as well as learn about the crucial impact that community, culture and family play in the life of every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child.
The theme for Children’s Day 2022 is 'My Dreaming, My Future'. 💭
This Children’s Day, we are asking our students what Dreaming means to them, learning how they interpret this in their lives and identity, and hearing what their aspirations are for the future. ✏️

Continuing with their focus on endangered animals from around the world...
Did you know Koalas are declared an endangered species in parts of Australia? Sadly our once-thriving marsupials have been ravaged by land clearing, bushfires, drought, disease and other threats.🐨
This week our Cubby OOSH students investigated all the amazing facts about Koalas. The children explored their environment and gathered fallen sticks and leaves to create wonderful Koala friendly habitats.🌱

The Cubby OOSH children at our St Kevins Public School service celebrated Friendship Day by making some beautiful friendship bracelets, necklaces and rings!💍
They also discussed the important role that our friends play in their life.
The students enjoyed handing out their amazing creations!🤗

The Cubby OOSH students at our Kings Langley Public School service experienced a wonderful Indigenous culture display thanks to the Mt Druitt Community Centre!😊
The children were so excited to interact with the beautifully painted clap sticks and spears. They also learnt some Aboriginal language that they sung with the accompaniment of two didgeridoos.
The presenters were very impressed with the Cubby OOSH students recital of Acknowledgement of Country and the service's own personal pledge. 🖤💛❤️

Cubby OOSH would like to welcome back all our students to the start of term three!
Our Vacation Care program was a great success with fun-filled days such as learning how film and produce your own videos with the talented team at Learn to Film 📽️
We can’t wait to hear all about the memories our students have made throughout the winter holidays, and look forward to creating many more this term!

Last week, our Cubby OOSH Vacation Care children enjoyed an outing to Georges The Pizza Shop to learn how to make their very own pizza!🍕
The friendly staff taught to kids how to knead the dough and flip the base like a pro.
The pièce de résistance was eating their delicious creation. Buon Appetito!😋

Our Cubby OOSH Vacation Care children enjoyed a wonderfully wacky performance at the Dr Seuss Musical “Seussical”. 🎩
The kids were captivated by the bright and colourful costumes, and the story’s from books they love. 😃

Our Cubby OOSH Vacation Care children flooded into the cinema like minions.
The kids laughed the day away with the random babbling and crazy antics of these little yellow henchman. 🤣

Watch out Hollywood, there are new stars in town!
It was lights 💡 camera 📽, action 🎞, as our Cubby OOSH Vacation Care children took to the stage and produced and filmed their very own news report.
After showing the professionals how it’s done, the children filled up on some delicious Dr Seuss kebabs and enjoyed a surprise visit from a special furry friend.🎬
