Come and support talented young musicians aged 12-18 competing for a recording session with Home on the Range studios, paid gigs from Buckettys, rehearsal studio packages with Evergreen Music and Ear Candy Music, and a singing masterclass with Emma Hamilton.
Judges include singer Emma Hamilton, Michael Regan MP, Candy Bingham Deputy Mayor, and Ms Tegg KHPS Principal.

Les festivitĂ©s existaient dĂ©jĂ dans lâAntiquitĂ©. En effet, les Grecs cĂ©lĂ©braient RhĂ©a, la mĂšre des dieux et les Romains rendaient hommage aux mĂšres de familles (les « matronas »), lors de fĂȘtes appelĂ©es « Matronalia » ou « Matralia ». Ces journĂ©es Ă©taient cĂ©lĂ©brĂ©es lors du printemps, le mois de la fertilitĂ©.
Au XVIe siĂšcle, les Anglais fĂȘtaient le « Mothering Sunday » (le dimanche des mĂšres) et les AmĂ©ricains le « Motherâs Day » au XXe siĂšcle.
En France, câest Ă Lyon, en 1918 que la premiĂšre journĂ©e des mĂšres est instaurĂ©e pour rendre hommage aux mĂšres et aux Ă©pouses qui ont perdu leurs fils et leur mari pendant la PremiĂšre Guerre Mondiale. Elle a Ă©tĂ© propagĂ©e par les soldats amĂ©ricains.
Puis, le maréchal Pétain, le 25 mai 1941, inscrivit cette journée nationale des mÚres dans le calendrier.
La fĂȘte des mĂšres a Ă©tĂ© officiellement instaurĂ©e aprĂšs la Seconde Guerre Mondiale par Vincent Auriol, prĂ©sident de la RĂ©publique, avec le texte de loi du 24 mai 1950.

Give your child the gift of language through songs, games, stories and lots of giggles. Our Saturday classes help little learners build confidence, curiosity and early communication skills that support them all the way through their school years.

La French Academy offers a fun, musical, interactive, and effective language-learning experience. We run two bilingual programs on Saturdays. (5% sibling discount per child, per booking).

These classes introduce French through songs, ageâappropriate instructions, everyday vocabulary, and storytelling. We use props, visual aids, and movement to engage multiple senses and support learning. Caregivers are encouraged to participate so everyone learns together.

This immersive oneâhour class is conducted entirely in French and designed for children from bilingual households. Caregivers are welcome to join or stay nearby. The program focuses on social vocabulary through songs, games, storytelling, and crafts, and helps prepare children for Kindy at Killarney Heights Public School, which offers a FrenchâEnglish curriculum.
