Hello everyone!
I know I don't post here regularly, I appreciate the follow and of course working for all of my families here, too. I just don't want to be another page that posts "stuff" just to post.
I found this the other day and thought it was a great reminder to all the adults, whether it be Mum (Mom as I'm Canadian and it looks wrong when I spell it with a "U" 😂), Dad, Grandparents, fellow Nanny, ALL adults really....
That it's important to surround yourself with those who support you, love you, care about the well being of your family and who you can call anytime, any time of day to reach out to. It's not only children that need a village, and one way we can be excellent role models to our children is to give them a great start to their village! 🫶🏼
My brothers and I grew up in household full of love, but we also were lucky enough to have had my parents dear friends (since they were all teenagers) be around for all the special days and celebrations throughout our life and they have continued to be there for us even today!
I hope you have a wonderful day today 🌼

I've just seen this online and thought it could be something parents may feel is helpful?
Great tip! “Firefighter told me he wished more people would write up something small & stick it on the car seat, just to know the child in the car & to be able to contact someone Incase of emergencies because he said quite often he runs into a parent unconscious, so I thought about that &l decided he was right so I wrote up oaks one. Definitely something I never even thought about it only takes 5 minutes to write something up this helps EMTs & can more than likely save your child's life!”

Just taking a moment to wish all of my families a Merry Christmas and the best of health and happiness for 2025.
I'm so grateful to have been given the opportunity to care for the children in your family, some of you I have known for the past 18 years when I moved from Canada to Sydney, residing in the Hills District 🫶🏼
Thank you for all of your kindness and recommending me throughout the year to others in our community. I truly appreciate it. 🙏
May you enjoy the holiday season with those you love most, stay safe on the roads, beaches and swimming pools. I'm looking forward to seeing you and your family in 2025.
Best Wishes,
Nancy ☂️

A very important message to those needing to check expiry dates ✨️
Summer holidays are almost here! ☀️
Don’t forget to collect your child’s adrenaline (epinephrine) device (Anapen® or EpiPen®) from school on the last day of term. If your child attends a Children's Education and Care (CEC) service that takes a break at the end of the year it is important to also collect their adrenaline injector on their last day. It’s best to have it with you over the holiday break in case you need another adrenaline device and to make sure it is kept at the correct temperature through the hot summer.
⏰ Set a reminder on your phone to return it on day one when your child returns back to the CEC service or school.
Remember to check the expiry dates on the adrenaline devices. The expiry date can be found on the device and on the box. We encourage you to mark this date in your diary.
Remember: If your adrenaline device expires in January 2025, the expiry date is the 31st of January (not the beginning of January).
Happy Holidays!

This has got to be one of the best reminders about what's important in life. I wanted to share it with any of you who might still see this. Hope you're all well and healthy.
Post:
"I have a rule that I’ve never told my children. If one of them ever asks me to take a picture, I will always say yes, no matter how I look or feel. When they show me this picture I always say, 'I love me!' or 'I’m so pretty!'
I don’t talk negatively about my looks around my kids. Even with 30 pounds of pregnancy and breastfeeding weight, I will not speak negatively about my body to my kids. Choosing to not avoid a camera, mirror, or the spotlight is an extension of this.
After 6 years of being kind to myself for the sake of my children, I’ve learned the secret. It becomes less of an act and your reality. You eventually believe the words you speak to yourself."

10 years ago we would never see a picture like this with 3 little boys role playing in this way.....
I'm so thankful we're seeing messages like this now. It's about time. ❤️
