Our thoughts go to those we worked with and we hope they get through this well.

The Health Leadership and Management programme has commenced again in HONIARA Solomon Islands with 21 candidates from across the Islands. This is the first postgraduate programme on offer in the Solomon Islands National University, so we are very proud to be part of the University's growth. Discussions now are directed to growing the programme into a Master of Public Health (Management) with the addition of studies in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Tropical Disease Control and Entomology/Parasitology and offering it to the Pacific Region. WHO has supported the programme with funding from Korea and we are now developing a business plan to create a sustainable annual offering. The strength of the programme is in its contextualization to health systems in the Pacific Region. Feedback has been very positive. It is anticipated that the networking developing among participants and graduates will transform the Solomon Islands health system
