Nicky’s Kids Town is a family run business, run by us, Nicole and Frazer Upfold, and we think that’s important because, after all, childcare is all about family – your family. Our child care centres, Sydney have been in operation since 1991, giving us more than 20 years experience in creating a lovely and unique home away from home environment that’s both fun and educational for your child. You need to know your children are in a happy, safe and enriching environment that they enjoy attending. We provide just that and you just need to look at the smiling faces at our centres to confirm it. We have two child care centres in Sydney – Artarmon and Lane Cove– that all provide the same very high standard of care for your treasured little one. We believe that children are individuals and should be treated as such, and we encourage them to make choices and have their voice heard. We respect each other, the children, our community and the environment. We consider our staff members to be role models who must develop and reflect on their practices and empower the children in their care every day. Our programs are constantly evolving to introduce new learning and play techniques that keep the children engaged. We don’t call ourselves ‘Kids Town’ for nothing – we create an environment that children feel they belong to and have some sense of ownership of. We also believe that family is the most important thing and we keep a very open line of communication with all of our parents. We also welcome and provide opportunities for the involvement of parents in our centres at whatever level you feel comfortable with.
