✨ 20 Years of Sophie at Seaforth ✨

Today we celebrated an extraordinary milestone - 20 years of Sophie at Seaforth. A moment that truly reflects dedication, leadership, and heart. This special celebration was made even more meaningful with Sophie’s proud parents joining us, alongside Kerry - Sophie’s very first director when she began her childcare journey back in 2000, who also worked here at Seaforth - and of course our wonderful owner, Anita. A beautiful full-circle moment.

Sophie is a truly remarkable director. Her passion for early childhood, unwavering support for staff, and genuine care for every child and family shines through in everything she does. She leads with kindness, integrity, and an open door, always taking the time to listen, guide, and support those around her. Seaforth is the warm, welcoming community it is today because of Sophie’s leadership and vision.

Thank you, Sophie, for 20 years of dedication, compassion, and for shaping generations of children, families, and educators. We are so grateful to celebrate this milestone with you 💐 ❤️

Child-safe organisations know it takes ongoing effort to maintain a safe environment for children.
We stay up to date with current best practices by attending workshops, engaging with the Office of the Children’s Guardian, and regularly reviewing our policies. Feedback from children, families and staff is also central to how we continue to grow and improve.

A child-safe organisation adapts its physical environments to minimise opportunities for abuse to occur.
We design our environments with supervision, visibility and safety in mind. Regular risk assessments, clear sightlines, and safe online practices ensure children are protected. We also teach digital safety and respectful relationships through age-appropriate conversations and experiences.
