We’re so proud to share this before and after with you! ✏️
Handwriting is so much more than learning to form letters. Before a child can write with ease, they need the fine motor foundations that make a functional pencil grip possible: hand and finger strength, finger isolation and coordination, dexterity, wrist stability, and shoulder and core stability.
Without these foundations, children may fatigue quickly, experience discomfort or aching in their hand, grip their pencil too tightly, use too much or too little pressure, struggle with pencil control, letter formation, sizing and spacing, or avoid writing tasks altogether. However, when these underlying skills are in place, writing becomes more comfortable, more efficient and much less tiring. This helps build confidence in the classroom too.
Every child’s journey is different, and we love celebrating each step along the way.
Our OT team supports children with fine motor skills and school readiness, and we have spots available. If you would like to discuss your child’s needs, click the link in bio to book an enquiry call.
