The Cubbyhouse was established in 1995 and we have a strong connection to the community. The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 12:10 pm, severe thunderstorms likely to produce damaging wind gusts and large hailstones were detected near Blackheath, Oakdale, Dapto, Lake Avon, the Rylstone/Kandos district and the Bathurst district.
These thunderstorms are moving towards the east to southeast. They are forecast to affect Wollongong, Katoomba, Richmond, Camden, Campbelltown, Penrith and Picton by 12:40 pm and Hornsby, Sutherland, Sydney Airport and Mona Vale by 1:10 pm.

A Total Fire Ban will be in place tomorrow, Wednesday 22 October, for the Greater Sydney, Illawarra/Shoalhaven, Greater Hunter, Upper Central West Plains and North Western areas.
Hot, dry and windy conditions are forecast across most of the state, increasing the fire danger. Know your fire risk and what you will do if fire threatens. Report all unattended fires to Triple Zero (000).
