Wonderful News for Australia Made Corn 100% Tortillas
Good News! Our corn tortillas are A-OK & a great choice for those on a low-FODMAP diet. We’ve just been certified by the Fodmap Friendly program.
🤔What is a low-FODMAP diet you ask? well for some people the humble garlic, onion, wheat based breads and some dairy options will have them running for the bathroom.
This easily recognisable “FODMAP Friendly” logo assists people with such symptoms to shop and eat with confidence.
This means that you can now make a low-fodmap diet choice and clearly choose the best option for those who suffer from gluten intolerance, IBS, Crohn's disease or leaky gut syndrome. We don’t support labelling people but we do support caring for our friends and family. 🫂
Chilaquiles are another good option but hold the beans and opt for some chopped tomatoes, sliced avocado or chicken instead.
Cheese lovers are in luck! Most cheeses are low in lactose and this means low FODMAP, so go ahead and treat yourself to a quesadilla!
Fun Facts❗❗
🌽FODMAPS are not soluble in water, so our slow cooked carnitas (lamb) is a perfect meat option due to all the natural good fat (oils) that coat them.
🌽 Corn tortillas are made with cropping corn, the closest you will get to the ancestors of modern-day corn. Not the sweet corn you find in grocery stores. Cropping corn contains low levels of sugar, perfect for anyone on a low FODMAP diet.
🌽The low FODMAP diet is proven to reduce digestive symptoms of IBS and recommended only for a short time, it is one that globally restricts the consumption of fermentable carbohydrates.
Of course always seek a medical professional if you have that gut feeling that something is not right. 😝
