This is a rare opportunity to not only work with the fantastic Narelle Yeo (Associate Professor, Sydney Conservatorium of Music) but also to perform in front of Victoria Falconer, the co-artistic director of Hayes Theatre Company!
This workshop and masterclass for singing teachers & singers will be held on Sunday July 30th 2023 at The Factory Theatre in Marrickville and is designed to help you navigate the world of professional music theatre. Event topics include tips for auditioning, diversity and inclusivity in casting.
The event will include a masterclass with 4 musical theatre singers of varied styles who will work with Narelle in order to refine their performance skills. Each singer will perform one song.

If you have (or are) a music theatre singer who would like to apply for this masterclass, please see instructions below. We encourage singers of all genders, diversities, cultural backgrounds and singing levels to apply.

HOW TO APPLY:
Please send us a video of your student performing an excerpt (no longer than 2 minutes) of one music theatre song. Please make sure the singer announces their:
NAME, AGE AND SONG TITLE at the beginning of the video.
Upload your video as an unlisted YouTube video and send the link to nsw@anats.org.au by Friday 14 July 2023. Late entries will not be considered.

This workshop and masterclass will be filmed and available to registrants online after the event. If you are selected to perform, you (or your guardian) will need to give permission for your performance to be filmed.

ANATS will provide an accompanist for the successful masterclass singers. Please note that due to the venue, a rehearsal with the accompanist will not be possible on the day. Rehearsals prior to the day may be organised on request but may incur a fee. If you would prefer to sing using a backing track, you would just have to bring in a copy of the backing track on a USB.
Please email any questions to: nsw@anats.org.au
