🌿 BIG Loose Parts Play! 🌿We’ve been loving our BIG loose parts lately — the children have been building, creating and collaborating in amazing ways.
Do you have any clean, safe items to donate, we’d love to give them a new life in our play space.
The ideas are unlimited, here are a few suggestions:
* milk crates
* cable reels
* large boxes
* traffic cones
* wooden planks
Who says loose parts have to be small?!
In fact, we have an entire category or type of loose parts that are anything but small. Simon Nicholson called them ‘structure building materials’ but I call them BIG loose parts!
What have you got that might class as big loose parts? Extra points for photos. Go!
(Also extra points if any knows where I took this photo).

Today our team enjoyed a wonderful day of professional development with Amelia, an Early Childhood teacher, music specialist, and founder of RHYMEY.
RHYMEY is all about creating short, engaging, and child-centred musical experiences that help support children’s development and emotional regulation. Amelia shared practical ideas and inspired us to bring even more fun, meaningful music experiences into our daily program.
We love opportunities like this to learn, grow, and reflect together as a team. We’re looking forward to bringing these new ideas into our learning environment and seeing the positive impact for our children.

One of the defining strengths of our preschool is our dedicated and connected team. We are proud to regularly receive positive feedback about the strong relationships among our educators and the longevity of our staff.
Staff wellbeing is a priority within our service, and we intentionally create opportunities for team connection through regular events and shared experiences.
⭐️Why is this important?
• It supports high staff retention, providing continuity for children and families
• Strong team connections enhance collaboration and productivity
• A positive workplace boosts motivation, energy, and overall morale
• A cohesive team delivers consistent, predictable, and high-quality care
• Educators model respectful relationships and create a welcoming environment for families
By investing in meaningful social connections, we foster a positive workplace culture that benefits our team, our children, and our community. Our team had the opportunity to spend time together in the school holidays.
We are currently running low on spare clothes and would really appreciate your help. We are in need of size 4-6 shorts, t-shirts, leggings and tracks pants. If you are having a clean out and have any of these items spare, we would be so grateful for your donations. Clothes can be dropped off at preschool between 8.30-3.30, however we are closed during the school holidays.
Thank you 😊

Thank you to all the families who joined us for our ‘Welcome to Preschool – Harmony Week’ afternoons. It was wonderful to share this time together and celebrate the connections that make our preschool community so special - a great reminder that everyone is welcome, everyone is valued, and everyone belongs

🌸 Wear Pink for Early Childhood – Wednesday 18 March 🌸
The NSW Government is preparing the 26/27 Budget, and this week they’ll be discussing funding for Early Childhood Education and Care. We want to remind them how important it is to put children first.
We’re inviting our preschool families to wear pink on Wednesday 18 March to show your support for fair wages and quality early learning for all children.
Your support helps our sector be seen, heard, and valued. 🩷

Our team had the wonderful opportunity to join Tagster for one of their inspiring Recharge Micro Adventures — and what an incredible experience it was!
We spent the morning immersed in the beauty of the Blue Mountains bush, enjoying a guided bushwalk and calming, restorative mindfulness sessions. It was a special chance for our educators to slow down, reconnect with nature, and recharge together.
Experiences like this strengthen our wellbeing as a team and help us continue bringing calm, presence, and positivity into our preschool community.
We feel so grateful to work in such a beautiful part of the world 🌿💚
