First session of AWS AI Practitioner Prep completed for the term. In 1 hour, the student has learned the below.

🤖 Artificial Intelligence (AI) enables computers to perform human-like tasks such as image recognition, speech processing, translation, and content generation.

📊 AI models learn from training data to identify patterns and make predictions or classifications.

🧠 The AI hierarchy is AI → Machine Learning (ML) → Deep Learning (DL) → Generative AI.

☁️ Cloud computing provides on-demand IT resources (compute, storage, databases) with pay-as-you-go pricing.

⚙️ Key cloud characteristics: self-service, network access, resource sharing, scalability, and usage-based billing.

💰 Key benefits: lower costs, flexibility, scalability, agility, and high availability.

🏢 Cloud deployment models: Private Cloud, Public Cloud, and Hybrid Cloud.

🛠️ Cloud service models: IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

💳 AWS pricing is based on compute usage, storage consumed, and data transferred out (data transferred in is generally free).

🌍 AWS infrastructure consists of Regions (geographic locations) and Availability Zones (separate data centres for resilience and fault tolerance).

🎉 Student Achievement Spotlight! 🎉

A huge congratulations to Sean Li on achieving his Java Foundation Certification! 👏💻

Sean joined Codertainment in 2022, beginning his journey in our App Development Fundamentals program. Since then, he has shown incredible dedication, perseverance, and a genuine passion for technology, continually developing his programming skills.

🏅 Earning the Java Foundation Certification is a fantastic achievement. This internationally recognised credential demonstrates Sean's strong understanding of Java programming and may even provide academic credit or advanced standing when he begins his university studies.

We're incredibly proud of everything Sean has accomplished and can't wait to see where his coding journey takes him next. Congratulations, Sean! 🌟

💡 Why coding matters now more than ever

In today's AI-powered world, coding is an essential skill. While AI can generate code, the people who truly shape the future are those who understand how to build, test, and improve it. Learning to code gives students the confidence to become creators, innovators, and problem-solvers—not just users of technology.

Join us in celebrating Sean's incredible achievement! 🎉💙
