This week at Little Learners Early Learning Centre, we’ve welcomed some very exciting little visitors… 🐥🦆

Our children are experiencing the magic of life firsthand as we watch baby chicks and ducklings hatch right before our eyes! From patiently observing the eggs to seeing the tiny cracks appear, it’s been a truly unforgettable learning experience.

Moments like these spark curiosity, wonder, and meaningful conversations about nature, growth, and caring for living things. The joy and excitement on the children’s faces says it all 💛

We feel so lucky to provide these hands-on experiences that create lasting memories and deepen children’s understanding of the world around them.

Expanding on our critical thinking skills as we explored ways to melt and break apart the ice using water and tools, the chiodren worked together and shared what they discovered.

Enrolments Now Open – Ages 2–5 Years 🌟

We’re excited to share that we currently have limited availability in our Preschool Program for children aged 2–5 years!

At Little Learners ELC, we offer a structured, play-based preschool program designed to build confidence, independence, and school readiness in a nurturing and supportive environment.

• Qualified and caring educators
• All meals provided daily (healthy, balanced and freshly prepared)
• A safe, engaging and welcoming environment
• Strong focus on social, emotional and cognitive development

💰 Government Funding Support Available
We offer NSW Start Strong Preschool Funding and Child Care Subsidy (CCS) for eligible families.

Families accessing CCS will receive subsidy for a minimum of 72 hours per fortnight, giving flexibility to choose the days and hours that suit your family while still maximising government support (for families eligible for CCS).

As an educator we can plan and create rewarding and exciting programs, but sometimes nature provides the best learning experiences.
The children (and educators!) were fascinated by this little praying mantis that ran up and down the totem poles, rocking back and forth.

In 2026 families are eligible for 3 days care with 72 hours CCS per fortnight! Little learners have limited positions available for 2026 so enquire now!

From January, Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is changing so all families can get at least 72 hours of subsidised child care each fortnight. Families can still get 100 hours of CCS each fortnight if they do more than 48 hours of recognised participation or have a valid exemption. If you already get CCS, you don’t need to do anything. We’ll apply these changes for you. It’s always a good idea to check your details are up to date to make sure you’re getting the right amount. See the comments for more.

This week at Little Learners ELC was a little different, we arrived on Monday morning to the whole centre being under water. We have had to close for the week whilst the centre was cleaned and deemed safe to return, which we are still waiting to hear. Unfortunately this put a spanner in our end of year party plans, with us not being able to hold our traditional end of year party at the service.
We want to take this opportunity to thank all our parents and families for their understanding and support during this crazy time of year. All the offers of help were greatly appreciated during this time of stress and tears. This truly showed what an amazing little community we have❤️
Most of all we want to extend a big big Thank you to The Birdhouse restaurant at Michinbury, for kindly opening their doors and allowing us to move our End of year party to their restaurant between their Lunch and Dinner seating. We are forever grateful for their kindness and help, especially during this busy time of year. Not only do they serve amazing food but they help throw an amazing preschool party!!
Fingers crossed we receive some good news on Monday so we can welcome everyone back on Tuesday 🤞
