Today we are celebrating Harmony Day at After School Care Leisure! 🌏

The kids enjoyed tasting sticky rice, a special Vietnamese dish filled with delicious vegetables, it seems everyone loved the food! 😋

Harmony Day is all about celebrating cultures from around the world and learning from one another 🙌

Dramatic Play 🎭

Our little stars had the opportunity to dress up and create their very own stories using their costumes! ✨

It looks like everyone got very creative, just look at those amazing dress-ups! 😍🌟

We welcomed Aunty Jean today, an Indigenous Elder from North Sydney Cammeraygal Country, who will be working with the children this coming weeks to create a unique storybook for each child ✨

The stories will be inspired by a Dreamtime narrative featuring whales 🐋 and will be brought to life through engaging and creative craft activities 🎨🖍️

Each story will be personalised for every child, with a whale entering the harbour as a shared theme that connects all the individual stories within the Leisure Kid program 🌊💙

We are so excited to see you back tomorrow, Monday 2 February and can’t wait to share all the exciting things we have planned for Term 1 at our After School Care program! 🎉

What a wonderful year it has been at Leisure! 🎉✨

Over Term 4, we’ve enjoyed a range of engaging activities, from creative arts projects and outdoor games to festive end-of-year reflections and group challenges 🤝 The children have shown incredible growth, curiosity and teamwork throughout the year, and we are so proud of everything they’ve achieved 🙌

As we wrap up 2025, we would like to wish all our families a very Merry Christmas 🎅🎄 and a joyful, relaxing holiday break ☀️

Our last day is this Friday 19 December 🤗 but we are already looking forward to welcoming you back in the new year on Monday 2 February!

Meet Adriana! 🎨

Adriana is our Educator Team Leader at Leisure NSCC. Originally a pharmacist from Brazil, she spent 10 years in the UK working in a primary school as an ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant), helping children understand and manage their feelings 🙌

Outside of work, Adriana enjoys arts and crafts, including Tunisian crochet, needle felting, watercolor painting, and other handmade activities 🎨🧵

Adriana holds WWCC, First Aid, CPR Training, Child Protection and First Nation Staff & Cultural Safety certifications ✅

We are definitely getting ready for Christmas! 🎄✨

Today, we set up a full Christmas craft station where kids made their Christmas cards ✉️🎅 One station helped them create a nice little envelope and the other offered personalised support with extra craft and decorations if they wanted it 🌟

Once their Christmas cards are ready, the kids will take them to the post office so they can be delivered to the North Pole! 📮🎁

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas and we are absolutely LOVING seeing the kids get into the festive spirit! 🎄
