It was an amazing experience to deliver the keynote and expert clinics at the Middle Leaders Conference hosted by DET Victoria. These 'frontline' leaders have the greatest impact on student learning and educational outcomes. They are also the most hard working and conscientious group of people so open to new ideas and challenges! It was a pleasure and privilege to work with them over the past three weeks! The future of education is in safe hands...

Change cannot be managed. Change can be ignored, resisted, responded to, capitalised on, and created. But it can’t be managed and made to march to some orderly step-by-step process. Whether we become victims or victors depends on our readiness for change…in the words an ancient Chinese proverb, “dig a well before you are thirsty.”
