January 26 is not a date to celebrate in “Australia”.
It is an inappropriate day to hold national celebrations. It is a day of mourning, marking the beginning of the dispossession of land, violence, massacres, genocide and survival for First Nations people.
We stand with our Brothers, Sisters, Uncles and Aunts on January 26. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land. [-O-]
SURVIVAL DAY. INVASION DAY. DAY OF MOURNING
Reminder: we DON’T celebrate genocide! No pride in genocide!
