Kids Academy Rosebery

Yesterday, we acknowledge and reflect on the meaning of National Sorry Day. A time to honour the strength, resilience and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and to remember the Stolen Generations.

Our children engaged in meaningful experiences through art, painting and creative expression using the colours and symbols connected to Aboriginal culture and storytelling. These experiences encouraged conversations about respect, belonging, connection and kindness in ways that were meaningful and age-appropriate.

At Kids Academy Rosebery, we are committed to creating opportunities for children to learn about Australia’s First Nations peoples, cultures and histories with care, respect and inclusivity.

Chef Fabiana brought the joy of baking to life today with a hands-on cooking experience for our Outback 1 and Outback 2 children. 🍎

The dining room was transformed into a warm and inviting baking space, filled with all the ingredients needed to create an authentic homemade apple pie. The children had the opportunity to explore textures, smells, and tastes as they helped measure, mix, and prepare their very own delicious creation.

From sprinkling cinnamon to carefully layering apples, each child played a special role in the process. Not only did this activity encourage teamwork and independence, but it also sparked creativity and a love for cooking.

The best part? Enjoying the smell of freshly baked apple pie and sharing their hard work together.

🚧 Under Construction in Outback 2! 🚧

Outback 2 has been transformed into a vibrant construction zone as our 4–5 year olds dive into an exciting hands-on building project! Wearing high-vis vests and hard hats, the children became little builders, exploring sensory play with diggers, dump trucks, loose parts, and imaginative construction role play.

Through creating roads, moving materials, and working together on their busy worksite, the children developed teamwork, problem-solving skills, fine motor coordination, and early engineering concepts—all while having so much fun. Outback 2 is full of creativity, collaboration, and brilliant young minds at work!

Our annual Easter Hat Celebration was a huge success! 🐰🌸

The children had an absolute blast enjoying our Easter hat parade, egg hunt, Easter playdough, face painting, and fun games like the carrot toss into the bunny’s mouth. Our little ones also loved exploring the baby sensory area.

A very special highlight of the day was meeting Mike the bunny rabbit 🐇, and of course a visit from the Easter Bunny who hopped around Kids Academy Rosebery spreading joy and delivering eggs!

What a beautiful afternoon filled with laughter, amazing food, creativity, and Easter magic 💛✨

Who is ready for hot cross bun season? WE ARE 🐰

This morning, our Outback 2 children became little explorers! They created their own binoculars and headed outdoors for an exciting nature hunt. With their checklists in hand, they carefully observed their environment, ticking off all the wonderful things they discovered along the way.

After completing their hunt, the children returned indoors to reflect on their learning experience by drawing what they saw outside. Through this experience, they strengthened their observation skills, creativity, and ability to represent their ideas through art.

Hands-on experiences like these support children in developing a deeper connection to the natural world while building confidence, curiosity, and early scientific thinking. 🌱✨
