Light, shadow, and a whole world of wonder ✨

Our preschoolers have been exploring what happens when light meets objects, bodies, and different materials. Through playful experimentation, they discovered shadows that stretched, moved, disappeared, and changed shape.

In the spirit of the Reggio Emilia approach, we value these moments of inquiry. Where children are encouraged to wonder, investigate and express their thinking in many different ways 💡

Today, we were excited to welcome the Crows Nest Fire Brigade! The children learn about fire safety, explored firefighting equipment and had a close-up look at the fire truck. 🚒 🔥

It was a wonderful real-life learning experience that helped the children understand how firefighter keep our community safe. Connecting with members of our broader community also supports children to build a sense of belonging and develop meaningful connections beyond the classroom.

A big thank you to the firefighters for such a memorable visit!
