Mary believes in one simple philosophy: “Hug first, then teach.” 💛

She is passionate about the power of the early years and creating nurturing environments where children feel safe, secure, and confident to learn. With qualifications from the University of Sydney and UNSW, and experience leading rooms from infants through to Preschool, Mary brings both warmth and strong educational leadership to our Stage 1 team.

Her journey at Reddam has seen her grow from a newly qualified teacher to Stage Coordinator, supported by a culture of high expectations, mentorship, and professional growth. She is committed to designing engaging, child-centred learning experiences while building strong partnerships with families.

✨ An Evening Focused on What Truly Matters in the Early Years ✨

Thank you to all the parents and caregivers who joined us for our recent Parent Evening at St Leonards. Your presence reflects something powerful — a shared commitment to giving your child the strongest possible start in life.

At Reddam House, we believe learning begins with curiosity. As Albert Einstein once said, “I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious.” When children develop a genuine love of learning, everything changes.

Guided by the Early Years Learning Framework — Belonging, Being and Becoming — we explored how:

💛 Belonging builds confidence through safety, connection and daily moments like reading together.
🌿 Being honours childhood as a time to play, question, explore and imagine.
🚀 Becoming nurtures resilience, growth mindset and a willingness to try — even when things feel challenging.

The greatest gift we can give children is consistency between home and school. When families and educators work in partnership, curiosity is protected, effort is celebrated, and joy in learning is preserved.

Because when a child loves learning, the future is full of possibility.

Cecilia has been part of the Reddam community for eight years, beginning her teaching journey here and growing alongside our students and families. She has worked across all early years age groups from 0–5, developing a deep appreciation for nurturing relationships and supporting each child’s development.

Inspired by the belief that “the child has a hundred languages,” Cecilia is passionate about creating safe and engaging environments where children feel confident to express themselves. She particularly loves teaching art, seeing it as a powerful way for children to explore their ideas and identity.

We’re so grateful for the warmth and dedication Cecilia brings to our Stage 3 classroom. 💛

First Bush School of the year 🌿✨
There is something so special about returning to the outdoors and reconnecting with the land around us. Bush school gives children the space to slow down, explore, imagine and truly think outside the box.
Through hands on experiences, investigating natural materials, experimenting, creating and collaborating, they build confidence, curiosity and a deep respect for the world around them. The land becomes their classroom, their inspiration and their teacher.
