Yesterday at the CAPEA Education Day at Canberra Hospital, I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Sarah Bombell, board member of the Breastfeeding Medicine Network Australia & New Zealand.

The Breastfeeding Medicine Network is a wonderful resource supporting families, midwives, educators, and health professionals with evidence-based care for complex breastfeeding challenges.

If you’re a childbirth educator, midwife, doula, lactation consultant, or maternity care professional, this is a fantastic network to know about and share with the families you support. 💛

“Had a lovely day learning from Lynne from about supporting women during OP labour. Love that the whole framework was: OP is not pathological it just has unique features that can be uncomfortable for women so here’s how we can be helpful 👏

Heard some amazing stories & learnt new technique for helping rotating or undescending babies while Mum has an epidural, and for those of us who didn’t use a kiwi cup on their face in a lab (🥸)at uni got to experience the suction/power on their arms. A pleasant surprise was running into three of my favourite mid-sisters from my old hospital and sharing the experience with them 🥰
