Fractions, decimals and percentages can be really confusing for students — especially when they’re taught as separate topics.
So I’ve put together something to help bring it all together in a simple, step-by-step way.
My new Fractions, Decimals & Percentages Workbook & Guide (Year 6) is now available.
It walks students through:
• how all three are connected
• how to convert between them
• how to work with each form
• with clear explanations, visuals and practice
It’s designed to feel like guided support at home — not just a worksheet pack.
This is part of my Year 6 Maths Support Series, using the same structured approach I use in tutoring sessions.
If your child finds this area tricky, this is a great place to start.

Does your child get stuck on fractions, decimals or percentages? 🤯
You’re not alone — and it’s usually not because they “can’t do it”…
It’s because no one has clearly shown them how it all connects.
✨ That’s exactly what this new workbook is designed to fix.
Inside, students will learn:
✔️ How fractions, decimals & percentages are all the same thing
✔️ Simple step-by-step ways to convert between them
✔️ How to apply them to real-life situations (money, discounts, everyday maths)
✔️ How to build confidence with structured practice
No overwhelm. No guesswork. Just clear, supportive learning.

🍎 Upper Primary Parents (Years 3–6)
One thing I see often in tutoring is that students don’t always need more work…
they just need clear, structured practice.
That’s exactly why I created my Upper Primary Worksheets.
These are simple, focused worksheets designed to help students:
✔ practise key skills
✔ build confidence step-by-step
✔ reinforce what they’re learning at school
They’re great for:
• homework support
• extra practice at home
• revision before tests
• students who need a little more time to understand a concept
These are the same types of structured activities I use in my tutoring sessions.

🍎 Holiday Learning Packs Ready
I’ve just finished preparing a few personalised holiday learning packs for some of my students.
Each pack is tailored to the specific skills we’ve been working on during tutoring, so students can keep practising important concepts over the school holidays in a calm and manageable way.
For some students this might include number practice, reading work, writing activities, or revision of key skills we've been focusing on during the term. The aim is simply to help maintain confidence and routine while school is on break.
I always enjoy putting these together — it’s another way I can support families and help students continue progressing beyond our regular sessions.

A big win in lessons this week.
This student usually finds it really hard to get started when writing stories. Knowing what to write and how to extend ideas can feel overwhelming.
So today we tried something different.
Instead of starting with a blank page, we built the story first.
Using a story sequencing kit, we laid out the events on the floor and talked through what was happening in each part of the story. Once the ideas were organised, writing it down became much easier.
The result?
✏️ The longest piece of writing he has ever completed with me.
✏️ A full story from beginning to end.
✏️ And he asked if we could use the story kit again next lesson.
Sometimes children don’t struggle with writing because they can’t write — they struggle because they need a clear structure to organise their ideas first.
This is something I focus on a lot in my tutoring and in the resources I create for families.
If you’re supporting a child with reading, writing or homework at home, I also have a small library of practical guides available for parents, including:
📚 How To Support High Frequency Words at Home
📚 My Child is Behind in Reading – What Do I Do First?
📚 How to Help Your Child With Their Homework Without Losing Your Mind
📚 How to Support Learning at Home (Without Teaching)
📚 My Child’s Learning Support Organiser

I’m currently fully booked for tutoring, but these resources are designed to help families create calmer learning routines at home.
