In today's world, as machines continue to advance in their intelligence and capabilities, there seems to be a striking contrast in how humans and machines allocate their time.
While machines are diligently learning to replace human tasks and enhance efficiency, humans find themselves increasingly engrossed with their gadgets.
These devices, ranging from smartphones to tablets, have become constant companions, captivating us with their allure. We are often caught up in a digital web of instant communication, social media, and endless entertainment, inadvertently neglecting the profound changes happening around us. It is crucial for us to strike a balance, harnessing the benefits of technology while also embracing our unique human qualities. By consciously directing our attention towards meaningful interactions, personal growth, and the exploration of new ideas, we can ensure that our relationship with machines remains a symbiotic one, with both humans and technology thriving harmoniously in our rapidly evolving world.

Each year, as the International Women in Mathematics Day approaches, a wave of emotions wash over me. It's a poignant blend of sadness, pride, melancholy, inspiration, and courage. This day holds immense significance not just as a celebration of the remarkable contributions of women in mathematics, but it also resonates with me on a deeply personal level. It coincides with the birthday of an extraordinary woman who was not just the first female recipient of the Fields Medal, but also a beacon of inspiration for many, including myself.
Maryam Mirzakhani, hailing from my native country, was a few years my senior, a role model I've looked up to since high school. Her triumph in the International Mathematics Olympiad, where she bagged a gold medal, was just the beginning of an illustrious journey. A brilliant mathematician, she was also a testament to the power of dreaming big, fighting relentlessly for her dreams, and creating an indelible legacy, all by the age of 40.
Her narrative is not limited to inspiring women who dare to dream but extends to anyone who aspires to achieve greatness through hard work, authenticity, and risk-taking. Mirzakhani's journeyโfrom growing up in Iran, surviving a war, facing countless challenges, immigrating to America, and eventually reaching the pinnacle of intellectual achievementโis a testament to human resilience and determination. Her story is a precious legacy that continues to inspire and instill belief in countless individuals. On this day, I fondly remember and celebrate Maryam, an embodiment of courage and brilliance. Happy birthday, Maryam.

A mathematical mindset refers to a way of thinking that approaches problems analytically, logically, and systematically. By adopting this mindset, individuals can effectively tackle challenges and find solutions. Here's an improved version of the steps you provided:
1. Recognize and embrace your emotions: Be aware of your feelings when facing a problem, acknowledge them, and accept them as part of the process.
2. Find a quiet space for reflection: Seek a calm environment that allows you to concentrate on the problem at hand without distractions.
3. Identify the core issue and underlying factors: Determine the root cause of the problem and examine any contributing factors that may be complicating the situation.
4. Break down the problem into smaller components: Divide the main problem into more manageable subproblems, making it easier to address each part individually.
5. Tackle the subproblems and connect the results: Solve each smaller problem and combine the outcomes to form a comprehensive solution.
6. Celebrate your success: Once you have successfully solved the problem, take a moment to appreciate your accomplishment and learn from the experience.
By following these steps, you can harness the power of a mathematical mindset to effectively solve problems and overcome challenges.
