Our dolphins and Sharkies children worked together to create a weather chart. During this engaging activity they discussed different types of weather, including sunny, rainy, windy and cloudy days. The children helped decorate the chart, matched weather symbols and talked about the weather they observed outside. This activity encouraged communication, observation skills and early understanding of the environment while supporting children's confidence in sharing their ideas. The weather chart will be used daily to help children recognise weather patterns and develop an awareness of the world around them.

Today our starfish and turtles children enjoyed a creative construction activity where they worked together to build the Sydney Opera House using a variety of craft materials. The children explored shapes, design and problem solving as they carefully assembled their masterpiece. This experience encouraged creativity, fine motor skills, teamwork and an appreciation of Australian landmarks. The children were proud to share their completed Opera House and talked about its unique design and importance to our community.

Today our dolphins and sharkies participated in a hands on recycled seed ball activity combining creativity, sustainability and nature base learning. Using recycled paper and seeds the children worked together to roll and shape their own seed balls developing fine motor skills. Co ordination and problem solving skills. This experience encouraged discussions about recycling, caring for the environment and how plants grow. The children were excited to learn that their seed balls can be planted to help create new flowers and greenery fostering a sense of responsibility and connection to the natural world through this engaging activity the children explored sustainable practices whilst having fun and learning about the life cycle of plants.

Our starfish and turtles children enjoyed a wonderful creative experience making koalas through arts and crafts. The children’s carefully assembled their koalas developing their fine motor skills, hand eye co ordination and creativity. This activity also gave the children the opportunity to learn about Australian wildlife encouraging conversations about where koalas live and how we can care for animals and their habitats. The children showed great enthusiasm and pride in their work demonstrating imagination, concentration and confidence as they created their unique koala master piece.

Today at Kinderland we celebrated National Best Friends Day by encouraging children to explore the importance of friendship through play, conversations and group activities. The children enjoyed working together, sharing resources, taking turns and showing kindness to their peers. Through these experiences they developed valuable social and emotional skills, including communication, cooperation, empathy and respect for others. It was wonderful to see friendships grow as the children laughed, learned and created happy memories together. Celebrating friendship helps children build a sense of belonging and confidence within our learning community.

Today our starfish and turtles children enjoyed creating thoughtful thank you cards for our community helpers. Using a variety of craft materials they decorated their cards with drawings, colours and heartfelt messages to show appreciation for the important work community helpers do every day. This activity encouraged creativity, fine motor development and an understanding of gratitude while helping the children recognise the valuable contributions of people who support and care for our community.

Today for Hapoy Feet the children went on an adventure to the magical world of the circus. The children had so much fun being clowns, acrobats and a brave tight rope walker balancing high above the crowds.
The children explored lots of exciting equipment including hoops, dancing ribbons and a tight rope that all the children got a chance to carefully balance on.
Through these activities the children discovered what was like to be a circus performer while building their confidence, coordination and balance skills.

Today our Dolphins and Sharkies children had a wonderful time working together to create their own maze using a variety of materials. They carefully planned pathways, arranged obstacles and tested different routes to find their way through the maze. This engaging activity encouraged problem solving, critical thinking, spatial awareness and teamwork. The children showed great creativity and perseverance as they modified and improved their designs proudly sharing their finished mazes with their peers.

Today at Kinderland the dolphins and Sharkies children enthusiastically participated in a construction themed sensory play experience using sand, construction vehicles and building materials. They explored the sensory table by digging, scooping, pouring and creating roads and building sites with trucks, excavators and other construction equipment. This hands on activity encouraged imaginative play, problem solving and collaboration as children worked together to share resources and develop their construction ideas. The experience supported fine motor development, hand eye coordination, communication skills and an understanding of cause and effect while providing opportunities for cooperative learning and creativity. The children were engaged, focused, and excited to bring their construction projects to life.

Today at Kinderland our starfish and turtles children enjoyed a fun and engaging sensory activity using shaving foam and sand. They eagerly explored the different textures by mixing, squeezing, patting and spreading the materials with their hands. This hands on experience encouraged creativity, curiosity and imaginative play while supporting the development of fine motor skills and hand eye coordination. The children worked together, shared materials and communicated their ideas as they discovered how the soft shaving foam and gritty sand combined to create new textures. It was wonderful to see their excitement, confidence and enthusiasm throughout the activity.
