1 in 23 jobs in Australia are in tourism…but what does that actually look like as a career?

🎥 According to Jane Phillips from Tourism Australia, there’s no single path and it all comes down to mindset. Being flexible, curious, and open to different opportunities across the industry.

From hotels and events to travel and beyond, it’s a space that’s constantly evolving, and one that’s genuinely fun and multicultural to be part of.

🤝 “When I started my degree, I didn’t expect to be working in real hotels straight away.”

For student Sofia, studying at THSA Brisbane meant gaining industry experience early. Authentic learning, professional connections, real responsibility, something you can’t replicate in a classroom.

🌏 At THSA, careers come to life through our industry partnerships, where students can intern with global brands.
