Write a Book in a Day
What a day. Ten Year 5/6 students, one book, eight hours — and honestly, watching them problem-solve their way through a brand new brief, characters and setting they'd never seen before, was incredible.
There were tired brains, a few plot twists nobody saw coming, and a genuine sense of "we did this together" by the end. That's exactly the kind of high-pressure, high-creativity challenge HPGE kids thrive on — real constraints, a real deadline, and a real purpose.
And the best part: every book goes to The Kids' Cancer Project, to be shared with children undergoing treatment in hospitals across Australia. Our team has now raised over $900 for research — thank you to everyone who sponsored these amazing kids. 💛
