Having direction when learning is vital to track progress and to stay motivated during study.

One of the key concepts students lack is having a goal in mind. This can lead to a lack of direction when studying and having no clear idea when a task is finished.

Breaking down the set goal into 4 measureable steps is the key is goal setting.

For example, when studying for a topic in the test. You can break down each segment.

Step 1 - Understanding the concepts and formulas given.

Step 2 - Being able to utilise concepts and formulas on basic questions.

Step 3 - Being able to remember formulas without looking.

Step 4 - Applying knowledge to problem-solving type questions.

Having this mindset, it break down the task into smaller tasks, thus helping us progress to understanding the full topic.

Mathematics is one of those subjects that students can easily fall behind in, missing one lesson could hinder your child’s understanding of the topic itself.

Here’s where we come in! We are a newly formed tutoring centre located in Marrickville and we are starting up group sessions for year 9 and 10 at the start of next term. We’ve made our own resources and learning packages that match the new Mathematical syllabus and are designed to both support and challenge students progressively.
