⚽️ State Knockout Success! ⚽️

Congratulations to our girls football team who have progressed to Round 5 of the NSW Primary Schools State Knockout Competition after defeating Riverbank Public School 1-0 this morning.

The girls showed incredible determination and resilience, playing the entire match with no substitutes after illness reduced our squad. Every player dug deep and gave their all for the team.

A special congratulations to Gemma B, who was called into the goalkeeper position at the last minute and rose to the challenge, keeping a clean sheet to earn our MVP honours for the match.

We’re incredibly proud of the team’s effort, sportsmanship and never-give-up attitude.

📜 History came to life for our Stage 2 students as they stepped back in time during their excursion to Elizabeth Farm and Old Government House!

Throughout the day, students built on their prior learning, discovered fascinating new facts about Australia's colonial past, and explored two of our country's most significant historic sites. It was wonderful to see so many thoughtful questions, curious minds and enthusiastic historians in action.

The highlight of the day? Becoming "convicts" and signing their very own Tickets of Leave! Thankfully, everyone was granted their freedom and made it back to school! 😄

A fantastic day of learning, laughter and living history!

⚽️ Forget the Socceroos v Paraguay - the real football action yesterday was on the NRPS synthetic pitch as the teachers went head-to-head with Year 6!

The cheers echoed across the school as the hard-fought match unfolded. In the end, the teachers claimed bragging rights with a thrilling 2–1 victory.

The MVP? Without a doubt, Mr Nankivell, who cemented his legend status with dazzling footwork - including a rainbow flick that would have made Neymar proud!

Oh, what a night! 🌟 It was a star-studded event at North Rocks Public School last night as the likes of Hugh Jackman, Julia Gillard, Steve Irwin, Jessica Watson and Edmund Barton filled the halls of K Block for our Night of Notables!

After researching a notable Australian, our Year 6 students created amazing displays on their chosen person and fielded questions from parents and friends in character.

Congratulations to our students on a fantastic evening of learning and presentation. We are so proud of the effort they put in to bringing these notable Australians to life!

🎶 Congratulations to our talented North Rocks Performance Band and Senior Strings! 🎻🥁

Both groups recently showcased their incredible skills at the Hills Band Festival, each performing three beautifully crafted pieces. Their hard work and dedication paid off as both the North Rocks Performance Band and Senior Strings Ensemble received Gold Awards for their outstanding performances!

In addition, the North Rocks PS Performance Band earned a special Adjudicator’s Choice Award for their exceptional musicality and stage presence. 🌟👏

Thank you also to TSA and Conductors Ms Lucia and Ms Meredith.

We’re so proud of our young musicians and their achievements!

♟️ Congratulations to our NRPS Chess Team! ♟️

Our talented chess players represented NRPS with skill, determination, and outstanding teamwork at the Interschool Chess Challenge that took place at Christ the King Primary School on May 19. Their collective efforts earned NRPS an impressive 2nd place overall, securing our spot in the next round of competition!

We are incredibly proud of all our players and wish them the very best as they prepare for the next stage of the challenge. Well done, team! 👏

As part of Reconciliation Week, our Year 6 students came together to create an eye-catching mural on the top floor of K-Block, inspired by this year’s theme, “All In”.

Working collaboratively, students shared ideas, showed creativity and reflected on the importance of reconciliation, respect and unity. The finished mural is a vibrant reminder that when we all play our part, we can build stronger connections and a more inclusive future for everyone.
